January is a great postlude to Christmas, with two birthdays, Sara's and mine. We filled the downstairs with balloons and unwrapped presents first thing in the morning. So fun!

I made her a little bunny cake, since she loves bunnies so much.

She's lucky to have TWO sets of gparents and two aunties that like to spoil her. It was a great day!

My birthday is almost a week after Sara's. Aaron and I made an awesome furry coconut cake (thanks, Jessie for the recipe!)--by the way, have you ever heard of sweetened cream of coconut? I could eat that stuff with a spoon!
We had some friends over to share it with and Aaron took me on a hot date the next day!

The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra! Oh, it was such a wonderful concert, too! A soprano named Christine Brewer sang some Wagner, and she was amazing.

We also got some Izzy's ice cream, which is, at the risk of sounding melodramatic, the BEST ice cream I've ever had. I got a "dizzy izzy", a cup with five small izzy scoops of all different flavors. Cantaloupe ice cream? Weird, right? Nope, totally awesome.

Thanks to everyone, and especially to the Hotness for an awesome day!

Happy Birthday! I'm so happy you are as old as I am again. I was feeling lonely. :)
Great pictures, fun times. Happy all around!
Happy birthday. I'm glad you had such a good time.
That last picture looks like maybe Aaron had a little too much sweetened cream of coconut. Hm.
I had no idea Izzy's made ice cream!!! But I know exactly what I am going to do tomorrow now.
oh SNAP! I just realized that you are not talking about the company that makes Izzy pop. But a shop in Saint Paul... totally heartbroken.
I've just been catching up on your blog. Your kids are so cute! Hopefully we can see you guys soon.
